blog: Today I passed 100,000 points! - 02/10/12 12:55 PM
Well today I passed 100,000 active rain points. I was planning on making a blog post advertising with this post .... But the points were rewarded for a contest I entered on trust. I have been very busy in many different directions... Even real estate has picked up... I have 4 really good leads. One an old listing, one a potential new listing, one a zillow lead and last but not least one I picked up from my last listing.... this is really funny! Unfortunately it is a story that does happen....Read my blog post from yesterday http://activerain.com/blogsview/2675329/i-hate-dealing-with-big-banks. And I worked my deals! One appraisal in! 3 counter offers! and a bunch of calls! I also went holiday shopping with my husband, housemate and son....We bought mostly books but other things as well....

blog: Help! Testing search buttons and searchs.....2011 December blog challange - 12/10/11 12:46 PM
Yesterday I attended a seminar on building effective links from my blog which was run by Bob Stewart. It was very informative. The most useful item I found out was that my website www.debbieholmes.net has some major search problems. Turns out I can only direct them to the start of a search. I need to do some more work and find a new way to drive leads... When I practiced I realized how clumsy my links were.... Well I have been blogging off and on since January 2008.... Sometimes I am consistant.....Sometimes I took long breaks... Mostly I talk about real estate....Sometimes I talk about politics and heathcare.... Sometimes I talk about my family and important events... Others have better blogs but it is a record of what I do and it might help me with my business. Last week I had three people call me to try out their new and different websites... It didn't matter to them that I had two websites and a blog. www.debbieholmes.net, www.homepages.com/debbieholmes1 and this blog. If I just try their product my business will boom and my webranking will skyrocket!!!!!! Sounds to good to be true. Homes.com actually succeeded because they promised me a lot of exposure so my third webpage is.... drumroll........ http://debbieholmes.directhomes.com/ They gave me a great deal and had some cool features. blog: Ever wonder what makes a good blog (or at least one that gets responses)? - 02/27/08 08:39 AM
Hi! Its the start of hopefully my lightest day of the week. I still have to get up my listing and set up a short sale negotiation with the bank. I have written many blogs. Some get responses, while others get ignored. It wouldn't bother me if people ignored my less interesting topics. I have written a great informative bang up article on short sales yesterday (to help me organize my thoughts). I thought it was one of my best, but alas no one responded...... So my question to everybody is, What makes a good blog that gets responses?
