SCOOP up an Ice Cream in Wilton, CT with "SCOOPS !!!"
The shop has been around for many many years!
SCOOPS was opened over 25 years ago in Wilton, CT by two local women who found a huge need for a place to go to take the kids for ice cream. Wilton had bookstores, florists, markets, banks, clothing and sports and hardware stores, but no "treat" stores. So, these two very good friends of mine named Care Heeks and Shelly Lawson opened one. What is it they say? Find a need, and fill it! That they did.

Going Above and Beyond is Normal but FUN!
I received a call from a gentleman the other day with a very thick accent.
He was hard to understand because of his accent and he had a carload of very noisy kids, but he was able to communicate to me through words here and there that I could pick up on - he had found a dog, was in Ganby, VT, and wanted to locate the owner. He assumed the owners were in Ganby for the long weekend, and their dog had gotten loose somehow. He then gave me the address,

What a Nice Compliment! But I Don't Have The Listing ...
I called tonight for an appointment to show a home in Wilton tomorrow. I did not look up the homeowner's name, as it was an estate... it said to call the owner.... daughter? son? I figured that I didn't know whoever it was...
Not a mistake - I did not know the "owner" - but they knew of me! I called, saying in my normal way, - "Hello this is Dagny of Dagny's Real Estate. May I show your home tomorrow----- ." The owner said, "Dagny! Of course! We know

Cancer - a scary word at best!!! How many of us have been touched by cancer with family, friends, or acquaintances?
It is a mean disease that we all hope can be eradicated for once and for all!
My sister in law, who was the dearest lady on this Earth, was diagnosed with breast cancer after having been kicked by her favorite horse there. They did scans and found a very spread out kind of cancer - not "A LUMP" which is easier to treat.

Putting the REAL In Real Estate
I've lived in Fairfield County for most of my life, and in Wilton for over 40 years, and am able to bring real local knowledge to those looking to move into or out of the area. One of the things I love about being a realtor is helping families meet their needs: be it selling their house or finding a home that is just right for them. Mostly, that’s what being a realtor is all about: matching people with homes.
But sometimes, as realtors, we get – or create – the opportunity to do something more.
