Another beautiful day in the mountains.
Yesterday I was down the hill at my daughters in Temecula. It was warm, dusty and dry. Up here it is so beautiful. The spring flowers are wow. It smells so clean and fresh. I love the smell of pine. Think I will go hug a tree and thank the pine.
In our mountain villages we do not have any traffic lights at all. The nearest ones are Big Bear which is quite far away. Over an hour. Driving is a pleasure up here but that 215/210/15 area down the hill seems like it is always busy. … (0 comments)

Lake Gregory located in Crestline less than 10 min from Lake Arrowhead. This is a county lake. It is large and takes about an hour to hike around. It has a beautiful scenic path for hiking. Half of the lake is for fisherman and boaters. There are small boat rentals. You can fish from shore or boat.
The lake is stocked and has great fishing. The other half of the lake is for us- the beaches, swimming, water slides, great fast food, views forever, float bikes, surf float boards to rent, shallow very clean water for kids to splash and play. … (0 comments)

Crestline is the home of Lake Gregory one of the most beautiful places in our mountains. You can walk for free all around the lake. It takes one hour. You will pass others doing this same wonderful walk. It is a time for reflection , to enjoy the beauty, to quiet the mind. Each season offers different views. Relaxing fisherman floating in row boats, kids on the shore with their dads trying for their first fish, dogs splashing near the shore and kids looking at the water slides with anticipation. A walk around Lake Gregory to quiet the mind.
Park the car at grocery store across the street. Dreams of coffee and a bearclaw afterwards from their bakery. Notice how all my blogs have food in them.Back to quiet a mind.
A one hour silent walk around lake gregory does quiet the mind.
If a random thought pops in your head just poof it away and allow the silence.
I stop often, sit on logs, ground, ---- pause.
Touch the dirt, a rock, a bug, a tree. Really quickly when no one is around hug a tree and thank it for being there.
Solitude with safety. Nice concept.
