A Helmet is ALWAYS a Must! - 01/23/12 01:07 PM

Tuesday night I received a phone call from my mom that I was not prepared to get. “Christa your brother has been in some kind of accident and he is being transported to the hospital in an ambulance”.
She didn’t know what hospital so I told her I would make some calls to see where they were taking him. Please keep in mind my mom lives in Arizona so it’s not like she can just hop in her car and drive to the nearest hospital. First Snowfall of 2012...Brightness and Contrast! - 01/16/12 01:30 PM

Woke up yesterday morning to our first snowfall of 2012. We were wondering if it was really going to happen or if the weatherman was going to be wrong yet again.
Well me being me I couldn't pass up a photo op in the dark in the snow so I had my daughter Makenzie come out and play :) I took this photo of her and messed around with the brightness and contrast setting in Paint Shop Pro and just LOVE how it turned out...so much so that I had to share!

Happy Friday the 13th...Or Is It? - 01/13/12 03:07 PM

Happy Friday the 13th…or is it?

Do you believe in superstitions? I don’t. Never really have. I don’t believe that If you come across a black cat on Friday the 13th that means you will have bad luck or if you walk under a ladder you’ve got 7 years of bad luck or even if you break a mirror you will have bad luck.

Is it so bad that I don’t believe in superstitions? I don’t think so.

So do you believe? If so what superstitions do you believe in? I would love to hear them!

Silent Saturday: Bald Eagles! - 01/07/12 06:51 PM

The kids and I went down to the Puyallup River in Orting today to get pictures of the Eagles. They were so beautiful. I was able to get well over 350 photos!

Tastefully Tuesday: Philly Chicken Sandwiches! - 01/03/12 08:32 PM

Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 medium onions, thinly sliced 1 red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced 2 cups shredded skinless meat from a rotisserie chicken (about 8 oz.) Salt 6 whole-grain sandwich rolls 6 slices provolone Preparation
1. 1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Warm oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell pepper and cook, stirring, until softened, 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in chicken and season with salt. Cook, stirring, until heated through.
