One evening, after a rain shower passed through, I saw this gorgeous rainbow just behind my neighbor's house, not far from Sedalia, Colorado.

It looks like the rainbow is going right down their chimney - I need to get in there to see if that "pot of gold" is really there!  :-)

I used Nik software's Color Efex Pro, Low Key filter to enhance this image and give it that dramatic look.

I have a frined in need of placing a Shepard named Major in a new home sometime this week.  major is about 10 and has just been completely medically checked.  He is friendly and gentle as well as obedient.  But he does get protective of his food. Do not let kids pull the bowl away...  he was starved before my friend took him in.  If you think you can give Major a home or babysit him for a couple of weeks please contact me.  Thanks.  Major is in the Concord NH area but can be transported within 1-2hours drive... Thanks again...

What Do Old Men and Cats have In Common? - 08/25/09 06:09 PM

Via Trey Thurmond, College Station , Texas Homes (Classic Realty Associates):
Hairy Ears and lots of whiskers of corse! Duh.

Mack the cat has always had hairy ears and when we play I like to tickle them which aggravates him just a little. Scottish Fold cats like Mack have very tiny ears, a breed trait...so I suppose the hair seems to stand out a little more than in other breeds.  Regardless Mack could care less as long as breakfast is served promptly and he gets a tiny bit of milk at night before retiring. Mack was a great find at our local … (0 comments)

I took a drive to Promenade Park in Port Credit, Ontario last week and I happened to notice  the rehearsal for the newest Olympic sport for Canada Geese.  The rehearsal was a little unorganized and I was worried that this team just might not have what it takes to bring home a medal for Canada.

I know that it is supposed to be speechless Sunday, but I just had to include one of the more famous draws to our area.  The Parowan Gap Petroglyphs, they date back hundreds of years and experts have offered several opinions as to what they mean.  I like the explanation that it is some sort of ancient planetarium with the glyphs indicating changes of the seasons anyway here are some of the photos:
