Northumberland, NH - 07/24/12 01:34 PM
Northumberland, NH (aka Groveton)is a small northern NH town with a current population of around 2,500.  Our cozy community is undergoing some current changes.  The long standing Groveton Paper mills will soon be taken down with the exception of a couple of rail warehouse buildings.  There are a few interesting possibilities for future companies at that site.  Next up it sounds like Dollar General is making some headway with coming to the community.  Properties are priced to sell,  opportunity is everywhere.  Our school  are terrific and the time is now.  Lear more about Northumberland at

Randy posted a great blog about a showing that involved the owners pet cat...  Pets are a distraction I think we can all relate to this case scenario...  Thanks for Sharing Randy.

Yes, Your Kitty is Cute But Still a Distraction. We have all shown the house that had the adorable pet that stayed during the showing simply because it wasn't mean so why move it. Someitmes no matter how much we beg and plead sellers don't get the whole "Distraction" thing. Basically if my … (0 comments)

Remember saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag when you were in school? Then you are old. My children barely remember it from grade school. I think it's been wiped out in many public schools. I remember it being one of the first things we had to memorize in the 1st grade. I can't remember the … (0 comments)

How to Take a Home Inventory of Your Possessions - 07/12/12 11:31 AM
Hal Tennant of Tennessee posted this aid blog about taking a home inventory and storing the list.  Everyone should have their inventory of things saved in a safe place.  Good post Hal thanks for sharing.
Via Hal Tennant - Get a Zero Down Mortgage - How to buy a home with no money down (HomeTown Lenders):
Take a look at your homeowner’s insurance – specifically the coverage amount listed under the heading “personal property.”  Is it enough to reimburse you in case of a loss?  Oh, and that dollar amount does NOT include luxury items like jewelry, art, high-end electronics, hobby-type collections, … (1 comments)

Save on Fuel - Go Programable - 07/09/12 12:02 PM
People seem to think that if they lower their thermostats when they are at work and rising them when they are home will make the boiler work harder to bring the home up to temperature but in reallity it does not and can save a good amount of money on the heating expenses. Upgrading the thermostates in a home to programmable takes the memory out of the task of lowering or raising the temp. You can pre-set temps for various times of the day for a full week and the cycle will just repeat itself until it is altrered. So you … (2 comments)

CONFLICT OF INTEREST in Real Estate is a misunderstood, down played, and ignored aspect of a real estate transaction...

Buyers - Hire an Inspector - 07/05/12 05:53 AM
I try to encourage home inspections to both sellers and buyers.  If presented correctly both parties will see the value in having this inspection completed.  For the buyers ask them if they would purchases a second hand car without a test drive.  Most will say No.  Buying a home without knowing if the components are all functioning the way they are should would also be a big mistake.  I tell them it is their right and responsibility to have a home inspected.  They get a full report of the home and how the inspector views each facet for functionality.  If for … (4 comments)
