The Pinehurst and Southern Pines Area of North Carolina is filled with Christmas spirit and lots of Christmas events.  The Pinehurst Hotel hosted the Festival of Trees this year with over 100 trees decorated and donated by local businesses to benefit The Sandhills Children's Center.  Animal Advocates of Moore County hosted a free "Black and White" Affair to introduce to the public cats and dogs that need adopting.  Each area community had Christmas Parades and tree lighting ceremonies.  Christmas home tours took place in Southern Pines and Carthage.  In addition, the NC Symphony will play this weekend and our local Moore Philharmonic will also provide a special Christmas concert.  Saturdays in the Village of Pinehurst there is live musical entertainment and Santa has been receiving visitors at First Bank.  The lights and decorations are everywhere with Southern Pines  doing their annual tree decorating contest, won this year by The Prancing Horse Therapeutic Riding Center for Children.  We are a proud and active community, doing what we can to help others and to improve our quality of life.  Thank You and Merry Christmas Everyone!
