What you have just read above is a comment I left on a blog by Susan Goulding. Susan is my broker at Crown Key Realty. She is also the founder and owner. Competitors and Compatriots - 01/22/12 08:38 PM
Recently I attended a luncheon held by the Central Valley Association of Realtor. The Association was installing a new President and new members to the Board of Directors. We also turned it into a charity event and of course as a way for Realtors and affiliates to renew old acquaintances.
When the out going President spoke he made the very large point of the uniqueness of our industry. We are competitors one moment and compatriots the next. A close friend is struggling daily now in a rehab facility. She has been a dear friend almost since the day I first received my Real Estate license. At anytime day or night she would drop what she was doing to answer any question I might have had. She would listen with patience to a personal problem or a problem with a transaction.
