I remeber growing up in Newtown and thinking how boring it was, but 10 years later I couldn't love living here more. There's this great website http://www.allaboutnewtown.org/ and they've got a great list of fun things to do in Newtown this year. The first one that caught my eye was Newtown Uncorked.
On May 22nd 8 local wineries will be featured at the Newtown Swim Club. Local brews and wineries are always such a treat especially when it's only $35 and there's a live band.
Another great time to be had is on June 5th from 4 - 8 pm at the Sycamore Street Summerfest which includes Newtown's Strawberry Fest. There will be vendors, good food, live music, face painting for the kids, and more.
