Have you paid any attention to how many tax credits are out there right now? It is amazing to me how many are there that no one seems to know about. . Everyone has heard about the First Time Home Buyer tax credit - if you have not owned a home for the past 3 years and you buy a home the government will give you a tax credit of 10% of the purchase price of the home up to $8000 if you meet certain income levels (and the majority of us will meet those income levels).
