Both as a friend and as a Realtor, I end up taking care of vacant homes for people. Often I get asked for my “checklist” of what to look for and how to take care of a home. When someone is asked to care for a home, it’s often a simple, “will you watch over my home for me” with no real guidance or instructions, and while that works for a short vacation trip, it doesn’t work when the homeowner is gone for a much longer time period. realtor: Today It's Christmas - a Realtor's Juggling Act or a typical day - 01/24/09 11:08 AM
My son is coming home today (he's almost 30) and we are going to celebrate Christmas with him.  He got to come at Thanksgiving, but he was on call at Christmas and couldn't come so sometime today he'll roll into town and we'll get about 24 hours with him before he has to get back to work.  I've made sure his gifts are wrapped (other than I still have to find a big bow to put on the tires for his motorcycle) and they are sitting on the floor in the living room - the decorations are all down (in fact … (3 comments)
