grand rapids: Short Sale Taxes are NOW Forgiven - 01/17/08 09:39 AM
Good news for seller's of 2007 and 2008 Short Sale properties in the United States! Normally the forgiven amount by a seller would be taxed as income. This amount is now forgiven, encouraging lenders and homeowners to cooperate and avoid foreclosure. I've contacted my clients that this pertains to, and they are very happy to learn this.
