The city of Thousand Oaks has so much to offer people of every generation. For the young there are youth sports that are world recognized, there are museums such as the Chumash heritage museum, there is one of the best school districts in the nation but all this is only perks to living in one of the safest cities in the country! What is it that set's Ventura County apart from so much of the rest of this great state? I believe it is several things throughout the county. You can begin with the coastal areas...ventura, oxnard, Port Hueneme, and Channel Islands offer excellent views, relaxing walks and breathtaking sunsets. You can enjoy wathcing the waves crach on the sand shoreline or surfers riding the perfect waves just about anytime from dawn to dusk.
