Well Pasco County took a huge hit in the Real Estate downturn, especially all the new subdivisions that were just getting started as the market tanked.  Eventually most closed there model homes and laid off or relocated their sales staff.   However more and more builders are coming back, and the deals are UNBELIEVABLE.
Right now you can buy:
a new construction 2 Bedroom 2 and 1/2 bath town home for as low $80,000
thats right new construction for under $100,000.  Way under.
Thats right New Construction for under $100/square foot.

That is right folks, instead of worrying about one jumping into the street unexpected during class hours, we now have to get used to all those school lights that were blinking yellow all summer reverting back to a standard red light stop, along with those wonderful crossing guards holding up traffic at the beginning of the day and the end.
The decreased speed zones resume as well so make sure you are paying attention to those blinking yellow lights.  If you are not sure where the school zone begins or ends, although most are clearly marked, be extra vigilant.

I am sorry but Washington has stopped making what little sense it made of late.  If a company is too big to Fail, a philosophy I do not subscribe to, than they are too big to exist.
Every company that received tax payer funded government provided bailouts should and MUST be disassembled.  What little benefit there is to the consumer, as a result of a mega-corporation, it does not outweigh the risk associated with their failure.

thats right folks, we have not had this since 2007 but Governor Crist, I imagine in an effort to garner support for his senatorial campaign, has pushed for the return of the Back To School Sales Tax Holiday.  
It kicks off at 12:01 Friday August 13th and runs through midnight on Sunday.  If you have kids it is a great time to save.  If you do not, you may want to avoid popular back to school stores, or perhaps you would be inclined to take advantage of this sale … (3 comments)

Four months inventory, not too bad.  Actually pretty darn good for Home sales in Pasco County.  Some would attribute this to the fact that River Ridge is highly sought after with buyers, especially families.  River Ridge is the only school district in New Port Richey that I have had the most requests for.

There really is so much more to being a REALTOR® than opening doors and passing paperwork around for signatures.  It requires dedication, a lot of time, and very few make  a great living at it.  Last I heard, over 50% of Florida Realtors make less than $30,000/year.  Perhaps that has changed since the exodus from Real Estate as a result of the market down turn.

Please Read if you are, or plan to, sell your home.  It is in your best interest.  There is an art to pumping people for information, and it usually only takes a friendly, non-threatening question to open the floodgates so many can not contain.  Let your Listing Agent Sell your house.  If you can not leave the property, which I can not recommend strongly enough, than do the next best thing, go out on a porch, go into the garage, anywhere besides where the prospective buyer is.
