After being an active member of AR for quite some time, I've decided to focus my blogging efforts on my own "outside" real estate blogs. I'll be posting Loudoun and Fairfax County real estate related posts directly on my local real estate blogs - LoudounScene.com and LoudounForeclosures.com - and will continue writing about real estate in general over at Agent Genius and VARBuzz.
Thank you to everyone who's read my posts, commented and engaged in discussion. I look forward to continuing the relationship I've built with many of you here on AR on the "outside".

Ashburn Farm in Ashburn, Virginia is a master planned community situated on 1370 acres in the west central part of Ashburn in Loudoun County, Virginia. It's well known for it's abundance of trees, greenery, trails and amenities. The majority of "The Farm" is located on what was originally the Gray Dairy Farm. If you're moving to or new to Loudoun County and don't know where many things are or want information about the area in general, check out The Washington Post's Local Explorer. Type in a specific address such as "43330 Junction Plaza Ashburn, VA" or just "Ashburn, VA" and you can find information on places in the area, schools, recent home sales and crime, all on a map. Local Explorer also has facts and figures, local news, classifieds and upcoming events that will help take you further inside area communities. loudoun county virginia: How Real Estate Videos Killed The Open House - 06/26/07 03:45 PM
As we all know by now, open houses are becoming less and less effective for the marketing and sale of real estate. Open houses still exist thanks in part to misinformed sellers and real estate agents who can't say no nor tell the client the truth (that they don't work like they used to). But what will completely kill open houses are videos - of properties, inside and out streaming directly to the masses. And remember, America is built on convenience and videos are much more convenient than a traditional open house.
