new york mets: Mets Meltdown in Atlanta - 05/22/08 09:39 PM

Earlier tonight I wrote a post on my other blog entitled Braves Attempt to sweep Mets tonight. Well, it is no longer an attempt as they withstood the test of Johan Santana and the New York Mets as they spin off yet another home win to lead all the majors for home victories.
What really gets me is the fact that everyone was practically handing the Mets the Nation League East Pennant when they signed Santana and stating that he would be the next big thing in New York to bring home a World Series Trophy. But, that is not … (8 comments)

Atlanta was loving the fact that Tom Glavine was back in a Braves uniform. With that said, the New York Mets hated that very fact as he was virtually unbreakable. The 42 year old made a believer out of the Mets batters as he would bend a lot but would not break as he gave up 1 run on just 3 hits and that being a solo home run in the first inning to Luis Castillo.
