Today’s rates are down compared to Monday and this pricing reflects an improvement of .125 in pricing compared to when the markets opened this morning.

Alpacas are primarily bread for wool, while their cousins the Llama are used as pack animals.  These guys probably have done very little hauling in their life.  I took their picture outside of La Conner WA recently while visiting the Tulip Festival.

Not really called Cherry Blossom Lane, this is NE 20th St in the Hampton Woods Neighborhood in Sammamish.  It just seemed like all the trees were in bloom today.  White and pink blossoms set against the dark green fir trees and the blue sky just looked like it should be renamed, at least for a few days. 
Hampton Woods is just outside Sahalee, near Heritage Hills.

Perils of Purple Periwinkle in April in Sammamish, It's Snailing!

A recent Wordless Wednesday post showed a Periwinkle blossom in our yard.  Today that flower is covered in an unusual April snow shower.  December through March we had little if any snow.  Today we've had periodic showers of snow, sleet and hail certain to eclipse whatever totals we had this winter. 

Our youngest came home from school and said, "it's snailing outside."

First thing I do every morning is to turn on my computer, check my email and make mental note of where the 30 year fixed rate is.  Funny thing, rates never change, 5% is always 5%, but the cost of obtaining 5% varies from day to day and sometimes hour to hour. 
A rate, say 5% may have a cost of .125 or .25 or a rebate of the same amount.  The fee is a percentage of the loan balance.  For example, if someone is borrowing $400,000 then 1/8th or .125 … (5 comments)

Located off Thompson Hill Road in Sammamish, Tlingit is a Native North American Term meaning "Human Beings."  Although the Tlingit people didn't inhabit this area, they were further north in British Columbia and Alaska, the term appealed to the developer of this Sammamish Neighborhood perched on Thompson Hill overlooking Lake Sammamish.

About halfway between Issaquah, the corporate home of Costco and Redmond, Microsoft's Headquarters, on the east side of Lake Sammamish is a street called Louis Thompson Road (Thompson Hill Road for the locals).  Turning east on this road takes you up into a number of different communities offering a variety of homes, styles and affordability.
