time: Pressure Forms the Pearl! - 08/13/08 06:18 PM

I feel like I need to create a new post! Today I gave a speech entitled "Pressure Forms the Pearl!" at our local Toastmasters Club at Boise Bible College. (It is the closest meeting place to us and we meet at a perfect time: High Noon on Wednesday!)
Since I am a candidate for a doctorate degree, I must keep on track every day! The task is so overwhelming that I must take it one small step at a time. I must continually overcome the feeling of anxiety.

I have been doing some research on the obstacle of overload in the lives of people in our American culture. Experts have discovered that we have more and more and we are going faster and faster and overload is increasing in our lives.
My father was a master of wildlife management. He was the Director of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game when I was in junior high, high school and college.
When I went hunting with him, he pointed out the value of edges or margins around our local farms. Pheasants and quail needed brush and natural cover for protection … (18 comments)
