Administartive Goddess / God needed. AAAARGH! - 06/27/08 11:28 AM
Finding that certain someone is hard in life, especially when you are searching for the administrative goddess of the world (or god considering we are in a gender equal society).Anyway, not so easy.  In fact, I’m having a wild time here in the land of the totally doomed. It’s not that there is not talent out there.  Indeed there is talent - fine talent with a wide range of skill.  The problem I am having is more of a financial one.  It is so hard justifying the amount of money needed to secure these very expensive candidates. Now, don't get the wrong … (1 comments)

Hello?!?! Is anyone there? - 06/26/08 08:22 AM
Hello?!?!  Is anyone there?  Seriously - is there some kind of written law somewhere in the bible of real estate that says after June 15 all licensed agents must hibernate in order to survive the long summer? It never ceases to amaze me how, as a collective, we stop working. Now, please, don’t misunderstand.  I am not talking about you, or me, or the amazing agents you know and love.  I am talking about the 85% of the other people, who got licensed, never come to the office, never go to trainings, and who never know what they’re doing. I’m talking … (7 comments)

I had the sheer joy of watching a rookie sign their first buyer agency agreement this morning.I mean is there anything better than your first client?Ya know what else is a joy?  Watching how she has created her success.  She has done an open house every week for the last 5 weeks.  She has followed up, emailed, called, and worked with an energy  that is infectious for those around her.Who knows if this thing will work out.  Who knows if her client will buy, refer, and be a source of more business.  But, one thing is for sure - her sense … (4 comments)

Okay, serious kudos to my friend Jim Downing for showing me the way here.  I spent most of the afternoon doing it, but I finally have it the way I think I want it.
Anyway, if you have an active rain blog and you have some patience, you need to try the link on my sidebar.  It will take you through how to add banner graphics, header graphics, and other stuff.
Anyway, I highly recommend it.

You have my permission!!! - 06/05/08 11:29 AM

Last night, after writing a new entry, a very popular blogger from Active Rain (DC) told me I should write more.  That we, as a collective whole, need more inspiration.

I agree with him.

Now, please don’t misunderstand, I am not saying I am taking it upon myself to inspire anyone.  I am just confirming what he is trying to say...that as a whole we need more inspiration.

We need people in this industry who can help elevate the dialogue from the list of Top 5 this or that to something more essential - like, how … (6 comments)
