When Will Mortgage Companies Reward Those Who Pay? - 11/21/08 10:34 AM
This morning there is an article about the sixth largest subprime mortgage company cutting the principle amount for homeowners who are not current on their payments. What does this teach the consumer? Do we really care what it teaches? From a business standpoint they are taking steps to mitigate their losses. Smart business move. However, not every business decision teaches the best principles for life. This is similar to a parent rewarding their child for having a temper tantrum. This is showing that if you are irresponsible then you have a good chance of being "rewarded" for not paying your bills.

When will it Stop? - 11/13/08 07:28 AM
In light of more companies wanting/asking for money from the government (aka. our money) I thought I would repost a blog I wrote on 10/16/08. We have airlines, car manufacuters, banks, other financial institutions, farmer, schools and others who continue to be subsidized by the government. When will it stop?

In the month of October 2008 there were 507 units sold at an average sold price of $182,048 with an average days on market (DOM) of 94. For October 2007 there were 782 units sold at an average price of $193,590 with an average DOM of 88.
The volume of units sold has decreased by 35.2% and the DOM has increased by 6 days when compared to the same month last year.
