Santa Rosa dominates the home sales in Sonoma County. It also leads in sales of foreclosed homes. In order to show nearly 1,000 home sales the chart features a lot of detail.
The bars are grouped by month from left to right. Within each group (month) the sales are broken down by Days on Market or DOM.
It's not always simple to take away useful information from a chart, but there are two things that stand out for me.

Who hasn't heard, "I'm waiting for prices to reach bottom."? I hear it all the time, and even if it drives you crazy, you understand what they are saying. Nobody wants to be the home buyer from early 2007 who buys the last bubble-priced house in an already crashing market. Mostly we can talk about how our local areas seem to be picking up steam or how one portion of the market is doing better than expected.
