Rates are at all time lows, inventory is supremely high.  Foreclosures are dropping values of homes, low down payments are possible and everything else looks great!

 

Problem is no buyers, investors are scared to buy and not have quick flips even on a great purchase.  What is going on???

The only problem we can foresee is the past 2 years, people were refying there homes, the stimulus was over the past 2 years, and the buyers are not moving?  Anyone figure out what else may be holding them back into there apartments? 

Our total MLS was down about 50% in May, and a total of 78 homes sold in April.  Any thoughts on whats going on???

Fargo Moorhead Housing Market

As the sandbagging begins and continues, we look to have a challenge ahead of us.  Thanks to all those helping in the efforts of fighting the flood and the continued support of the community.  It will all be over soon.  With the flood issues present there is a slow down of home buyers shopping and awaiting to see whats happening.  In 2009 we noticed a similar pattern to this daily trend.  April looks to be a very strong month for houses selling.  Rates continue to stay just around the 5% mark.  This is great news, and we hope to see the continuation of rates throughout the summer.  If you are looking to make a move soon, or know of someone who is interested in entertaining selling there home please have them contact me and I will certainly make sure they are well taken care of!  Thanks once again!

 

 

 

MANAGING YOUR DEBT

Wouldn't it be nice if you knew that the debt bills were always taken care of. A debt investment account is an effective way to keep your debtworking plan on track. There are four simple steps you will need to follow to make this happen.

 

• Start up a FREE checking account at a bank that is different from the one you currently use.

 

• Refuse the ATM/Debit card and Checkbook for that account.

 

• Set up a direct deposit from your employer into this account. The amount that you want going into this account every month is enough to cover the minimum monthly payments that you started with plus whatever you decide your Debt Investment is going to be. (Remember the goal for the Debt Investment is 10% of your gross monthly income)

 

• Set up online banking for this account to be able to pay your debt bills from your computer If you really want to put your whole Debtworking plan on automatic pilot, contact your creditors to set up automatic withdrawal.

Altony's - Located in Dilworth - Dine in or Take out!  The best homemade Italian food in the FM Area.  If you haven't been there yet, your surely missing out!!!  Just had lunch there today with a good friend, and the service was top shelf as well as the food was incredible as well as portions are huge for what you pay for!  I cant' say enough good stuff about this place.

Its time to regroup and get ahead.  Tax season is coming to an end, and its time to regroup your " personal stuff".  Go out and purchase a flash drive and back up your computer asap.  Start files with your information, such as bank accounts, balances, credit card bills and information, loan balances, IRA information, Pictures, reciepts for purchases (scan and save), Passwords, Email accounts, and put them all on your flash drive.  Store your flash drive in a safe place.  If your computer were to crash, or something were to happen to files and personal information you need, you can look it up and find everything in one spot!  Each year, we need to be reminded of the things that are the most important to us, but neglect the most!
