It is Friday and I am headed to the Library - 11/30/07 06:09 PM
Wtih my daughter, she is 4 and loves to go the library.  My wife and I are big readers and she loves to read.  So, the library is one of her favorite places to go.  So, we head there often.  She will grab as many books as they will let her and she loves to take them to school to share with her friends.
One of my goals for 2008 was to read up toi 10 hours or more a week and watch less TV.  Make that one of your goals and you will be amazed at what you will learn.  … (0 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day#11 - Leading to a Better Life - 11/30/07 10:47 AM
There are 12 rungs on the Ladder to Success.  I am only going to give three of the here today.  You can find them all from the teachings of Ben Franklin.
Rung OneAll human achievement rests on the establishment of clearly defined objectives.
Set goals, timelines and reevaluate all the time.  Keep them posted. I have my posted where I see them when I wake up and when I go to sleep ever day and then I have them posted in my office.  I will post them this afternoon.
Rung EightThe possession of health makes all things easier; its absence makes everything more … (1 comments)

Great Rates and Great Buys - 11/30/07 08:38 AM
I have been paying more attention to the rates that come across my desk, and rates are at the lowest they have been in 25 or so months.  The low rates coupled with the rise in foreclosures means that now is the time to buy now more than ever.  There are still a lot of options out there for those with bad or no credit, and there are still great homes ready to go.  If you need help with your credit there are plenty of good credit repair companies out there, just ask your Mortgage Consultant who they are working with … (0 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day#10 - Making Life-changing Choices - 11/29/07 11:20 AM
8 Ideas for making life-changing choices
Idea #1: Increase your responsibilities and your results will improve.
Ask to do more, seek out new opportunities to serve and accept responsability.  I had an LO here, that everything was someone else's fault.  She never accepted responsability for her own actions.  She could never figure out why she was always limited in her business.
Idea #2: Expand your knowledge base and you will have bigger options.
Learn, Learn - Read, Read, try new ideas
Idea #3: Smaller steps at the start will create large success at the end.
Start small and build - how do you eat an elephant one bite at a … (4 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day#9 - Deciding Your Destiny - 11/27/07 04:37 PM
You are in control of your destiny.  You come to a fork in the road and you make the call to go left, right or straight up the middle.  You decide when you are going to wake up,what you are going to eat and what your day is going to look like.  You can make the call or wait for it. You can let email ruin your day by answering each and every email the moment it comes in.
When you increase the amount of decisions that you make intentionally; you decrease the amount of lessons you learn accidentally.  I choose … (1 comments)

My life isn't that special - 11/26/07 11:05 PM
I was told today, "that my life isn't so special that I get to be a p#@*k".  Oh, but I disagree.  I am very special.  I haae the love and respect of many people if I do say so myself, but let me start at the beginning.
I was in a sales meeting this morning.  I had two like-minded salesman here in my office. I got a phone call, and since I was the only one in the office at the time and I was waiting on a very important for a clear-to-close.  What I got was one of these scam artists … (4 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day#8 - Changing Your Choices - 11/26/07 05:13 PM
change your choices, change your life
Most people are stuck in the here and now and believe that they have no way out. The really believe that they will only be happy with possessions and acquiring the biggest and best new items.  The sad fact is that most people do not have a plan in the here and now that can help them build for the future.  they are locked into the limited belief system that they cannot change the circumstances of their lives, and that they can't get anywhere beyond where they currently are.
People who want a different reality, but simply are not committed to … (1 comments)

How Long Does a Water Heater Last? - 11/25/07 11:09 AM
I was in my basement with my parents on Thanksgiving night.  I was giving my mom some of my old sweatshirts and fleeces.  I have a million of them and some of them do go out of the rotation.  I am not a handy person.  We do not put hammers or other tools into my hands.  Well, you do if you want a good laugh.
Well, I was in our basement bathroom and it also where our waterheater is.  I noticed the date on my waterheater and a date that was nearly 16 years old.  I asked my dad how long should … (7 comments)

OOPS - Thanksgiving Blunder - 11/23/07 01:53 PM
I have never made it a secret that I never really got along with my in-laws, but I did tend to get along with my BIL.  We don't have a lot in common, but he did use for his home loan.  So, I guess I have to be nice to him.  Well, anyway, he has been divorced a few years.  I never really cared for his ex.  She wasn't my cup of tea.  Well, this year he is dating somone new and she is a nice girl. very pretty, athletic and so on.
Well, I heard her name but no one … (2 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day#7 - 101 Lessons from Mortgage Leaders - 11/21/07 10:54 AM
Day is basically a day off, as it was a Sunday.  I hate to do yardwork on a Sunday, but I do not mind doing Mortgage and Real Estate work and often can be found doing that.  When I feel that I am not taking away from my family.  I am not going to do all 101 lessons, but I will share with those that email me.
1. Good wives and husbands are hard to find, take care of the one you have
this is on of my goals.  I know that I am not the best husband in the world, … (4 comments)

Congrats - Moron, you just weakened a county - 11/20/07 04:44 PM
I just learned today that one of our activitist is claiming victory that one of the major railroads is backing out of the county and plans to build elsewhere in Ohio and not northern Indiana.  You, sir are a moron and an idiot, and I bet you will be one of the first ones to moan and complain that we have no jobs or economic development.  I am so mad right now.  I am stupidified by some of the people in this county.

90 Day Burn - Day #6 - Constructing Your Dreams - 11/20/07 10:11 AM
Day #6, I am constructing my dreams.  I am applying action steps to my Mission Statements that are associated with my Vision Statements.  I will include two of my Action Items
1. Be Healthy - I want to be healthy so I can be there for my family.  I am tired of being a fat slob and not having the energy to work or play.  I  used to be a madman.  I would work all day, go  workout at the gym, then go hang out with friends and have a good time and be able to do it all over again the … (5 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day #5 - Raising Your Walls - 11/17/07 01:49 PM
Yesterday was not an easy day for me.  I was not overburdened but it was not due to the work or anything, but the fact that I had my daughter here with my processors daughter as well.  So, I had a couple 4 year old running around my office.
However, I was still able to make time to do my fifth day of the 90 Day Burn.  I made the Mission Statements for each of my Values and Vision Statements.  I look forward to Day#6 which is today.
I know this post is short, but I have to get going.

90 Day Burn - Day #4 - Drafting Your Future - 11/15/07 04:25 PM
Today was a difficult day for me, today is the day that I learned how I really feel about the things in my life.  Or, how much I am off.  I drafted my future today.  My mission statement for each of my values.  My list of values, did a change over the evening, I took for granted somethings and I decided to put it on the list.
1. My Health - I watch what I eat, I workout and take care of myself
2. My Family - I am the foundation of my family.
3. My walk with God - I am … (0 comments)

What does Foreclosure really mean? - 11/15/07 10:12 AM
We all have heard the term foreclosure and I am sure that we are all about tired of it,  It is a word that every home owner dreads to hear and I know that for most of them they do not wake up and decided to quit paying their mortgage.  It is usually due to some tragic circumstance like a job loss or major illness.
There are 3 major steps in the foreclosure process...
The first step is when the Homeowner misses a payment.  They will be hit by a late payment and about 15 to 30 days later a mortgage company representative … (4 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day #3 - Your Foundation - 11/14/07 04:20 PM
Today, I took a little longer to go through my 3rd day.  I started and stopped several times.  I got a phone call, an email and became distracted.  It is like when you are getting life right with God (which I need to work on).  The devil brings out all of the stops.
What are my values?  What do I value?  Is it money, my family, friends, business, God, education.  I took a pen to paper and wrote them out and the prioritized them 1 - 5 and the pondered on them and reorganized them again and again.
What I valued … (1 comments)

90 Day Burn - Day #1 - 11/13/07 10:57 AM
I had read some time ago that if you make an announcement, a proclamation if you will to someone or to the public you are more apt to stay with it.  I have a hard time carrying through on personal things and at times business, but if I have a deadline, a closing date.  I get it done.
So, I am doing the 90 Day Burn, about 5 years in the making, and about the 4th start this year.  Life always seems to get in the way and I cannot carry through with it.  But, not anymore.  I am pushing forward … (7 comments)

Business Plan 2008 Part 1 - 11/12/07 09:25 AM
As we enter the winter and holiday months, everyone tends to believe that business slows down.  I don't believe it.  So, I am not going to enter that trap this year.  As I wrap up the 2007 calender year and begin to focus on 2008, I go back and look at where my business came from in 2007.
2007 was a tumultuous year for me.  I lost everyone of my employees.  I am not ashamed to admit.  I only know of one that improved herself, two others made a lateral move and I have heard through the grapevine, they are regretting, one disappeared … (1 comments)

VOTE - Today - 11/06/07 09:56 AM
I know it is an election off year, but here in Michigan City, IN it is time to vote today.  I voted, my wife voted and I reminded everyone here in my office to vote today.  If you do not vote.  Well, you are simply throwing away your man-given right to vote.
Yeah, I said it man-given.  God did not die for your right to vote He sent his Son to die for our sins, but not to vote.  Men have died from sands of Iwa-Jima to federal building in Oklahoma for your right to vote.  I firmly believe that if … (1 comments)

I just called to tell the Congressman to vote NO on hr3915 - 11/05/07 12:54 PM
I just called every Indiana Congressman in the state of Indiana to urge them to vote no on hr3915.  It only took me a few moments, and I urge all of the professionals on AR to take the time to call and urge their Congressman to vote no.  Mortgage Brokers do need new rules to live by, but Mr. Frank is shooting from the hip in this one in an effort to put his name on the headlines of every paper in America.
Call and tell them to vote NO on hr3915.
