Remember it is Fall Ahead this weekend - 10/31/08 03:23 PM
As we go to bed Saturday night, remember to set your clocks ahead one hour.  Yep, it is that time of year that we Fall Ahead.  I just love the Spring Back time of year, but that falling ahead gets me every time.
So, don't say that I did not warn you when you are an hour early for everything Sunday morning, Like getting to church an hour early.  What a perfect time to rearrange the letters on the sign to say something funny.  Or, when you don't understand why the football is not on yet.

Oh, now you all … (1 comments)

Share some Success with Everyone - 10/30/08 08:27 PM
I have never tried to hide the fact that I am a tad overweight.  Though, I still argue that is water weight!
I have been extremely self-conscious about this year, with my hear pounding after playing paintball with my nephew and again two weeks ago moving wood out of someones backyard.  It was up, not one but two inclines and it was very heavy wood.  NO EXCUSES
Lets do a little contrasting in high school, I ran track, I would run the 300 meters in the 56 second range, that was once around the track at full speed.  I was pretty … (19 comments)

Spend and Saving - A Nighttime Carcast - 10/30/08 10:57 AM
I was messing around last night and I decided to see if I could do a night time Carcast.  Well, I could and I think it tuned out pretty decent.
I focus on Spending and Saving.  We are having a lot of trouble in this nation as we are not saving.  I think a lot of people are expecting a helping hand from the gov't way too much.  They use places like Payday Loans to cash their checks and spend their entire paycheck.
Blue Chip casino had a record month last month and their gambling revenues have gone up this year.  … (4 comments)

Feds Cutting Rate? - 10/29/08 10:07 AM
I just read a horrible blog, and I just read a great one.  Kevin Sandridge in Winter Haven , you were the good one and I have included a link for you.
I think I will preach on this till I am blue in the face.  Mortgage rates are based on Mortgage Backed Securities and not the 10 Year T-note.  Plus, when the Feds cuts the Funds Rate the mortgage rates tend to rise.  I can show you time after time that it has happened.
Yet, I still read Average Joe LO out there telling everyone that rates will go down.  … (3 comments)

Prove Yourself - 10/29/08 09:53 AM
"Any job you're given is an opportunity to prove yourself." Meg Whitman (1956 – ) Longtime CEO of eBay
How well do you do the little jobs?  I may gave told this one before, but it bears repeating as I watch some younger people walk away from good jobs.
One day out of high school, I took a 4 hour job with ManPower to unload a truck at the new Lighthouse Place Mall in Michigan City.  I was told that I would be paid for four hours whether or not I worked the four, but I would be paid more if … (3 comments)

A Hour behind - thanks Atomic Clock People - 10/26/08 09:57 AM
I have egg on my face.  Well, not my face, the face of my Atomic Clocks.  Why can't they get this right ever since President Bush enacted this little law or commandment from on high every year.  I have had to deal with this.  I know it is not all that much to complain about, but today I missed first service of church.  I thought I woke up in plenty of time and was leisurely swaggering around the house reading news on my Blackberry, that also went back a hour.

Why couldn't the Atomic people just make this little correction … (1 comments)

Opportunities - The Exist - 10/24/08 12:10 PM
"Failure is not the falling down, but the staying down." Mary Pickford (1892–1979) Canadian actress
As, some of you may have heard existing home sales were up last month, or better yet beat expectations.  The talking heads were expecting 4.95 million and we got over 5 million.  That is good news.  Now, I am not declaring a bottom, far more knowledgeable people have done that and have egg on their face from it.
But, we are going to see the rebound come from the "little" people from Main Street and not Wall Street.  While they wait for their bailout; we … (8 comments)

NetWorking in Valparaiso - Porter County - 10/23/08 11:34 PM
Today was the Annual Porter County Business Expo.  It is great to see so many businesses all working to create jobs and wealth in NW Indiana.  We had Law offices, Marketing Companies, a couple of Real Estate offices and some companies that I never heard of or even thought were in this area.  Like the web video guy that I have been looking for on the net and here is one in my backyard. Plus, many many more that I cannot even remember the names of or the categories they represent, but I have their card and I will be following … (1 comments)

Yeah, well, up yours - 10/21/08 04:03 PM
Here is my number (219)872-8000, in my town and I am sure it is in your town and city.  The phone numbers like mine are vanities.  I used to have another one, but I lost it when I decided to move into the Mortgage Bunker.  As, you are aware there are different prefixes as well, like in my area is 872, 873, 874, 877, 878, 879 and 871.  I know one of my older numbers was very similar to a gas station.
Well, my (219)872-8000 is very close to (219)879-8000.  How, you ask, well people see that this the 879 line … (3 comments)

Free Beer Tomorrow - 10/15/08 10:54 AM
"Nothing is worth more than this day." Johann Goethe (1749–1832) German dramatist and poet
My wife laughs at the sign in Hooters Restaurants.  Well, as far as I know, she has only been in two of them and it was not her choice.  I am frequent winger if you will.  Well, there about the bar hangs a sign that says "Free Beer Tomorrow".  Well, the problem is that tomorrow never gets here.
Are you struggling with FBT syndrome.  I know I do.  I plan to do this and I plan to do that and I never do a darn thing.  … (8 comments)

Indiana USDA - Rural and a not so Rural Loan - 10/14/08 06:19 PM
While there are sections of the state that are out of bounds, there are whole counties that this is very useful home loan product and it is a great option for those that may have a limited income.  This can also be used for new construction and even development of new home sites.
There are few stipulations and each address must be verified, but for more information visit Indiana USDA for more information.
Here is a great scenario to think of as well, since this is a no-money down program, but with the tax credit from US Gov't some buyers may … (1 comments)

I am in the Top 10 - 10/12/08 02:06 PM
My first ever blog was on October 4th, 2006, I sputtered and spattered for the next year to August 10th, 2007. Where I seemed to get what blogging was all about.
I have covered topis from getting kicked out of a Best Buy Store to my wife and child.  I am real person.  I feel pain and I know when I am being attacked by the average Joe LO.  I have had some ups and downs on AR.  I have read posts that made me laugh out loud and I read some that made me shut my office door so I … (16 comments)

The best money you will ever spend - 10/12/08 09:31 AM
The best money you will ever spend and I suggest you do it often.
I have some pretty successful friends and relatives and I am struggling visionary (if I can call myself that).  I am an entrepreneur having started a mortgage company, a real estate investing firm and several web pages.  I am not trying to blow my own horn as I know I need to do more and have less distractions.  Furthermore. I am not living the life that I want to live.
I share with you a recent dinner I had on the Mad Mortgage Machine, and I fell … (4 comments)

OPEC - why I hate these guys - 10/09/08 05:05 PM
Today, with oil down 40% from it's high @ $147 a barrel.  What are these knuckleheads going to do?  Meet!
Do you think they are going to talk about how they can help us with this "economic bail-out".  Funny how these guys can meet at a moments notice and can make a decision and our congress can't.  These guys are from serperate counties and some don't even like each other but money brings them together like a herd of ants to a fat mans picnic.

What Me Worry!?!?! - 10/08/08 09:29 AM
I will admit yesterday was not a good day for me.  I was mad, upset, and generally not in a good mood.  I was thinking and spending too much time doing so thinking about the economy and the likeliness of me staying in the business.  I love Real Estate and Mortgagea, I hate all of the junk that comes with it, but it has opened so many doors for me.
But, when people in Florida and Oregon read my blog and want me to do their loan.  Well, who am I to argue.  I think.  No, I know, that blogging has … (3 comments)

New Bus service from Valparaiso to Chicago - 10/07/08 09:58 AM
A huge hit.  As stated this morning in the Post-Tribune paper.  There were not a lot for riders, but the ones that did ride it - Love it.

So, that in my mind gives me yet another god reason to move to Valparaiso, Indiana.  Non-stop bus service, with internet and many other amenities.  One rider commented, "that is was cheaper and more convenient than driving with the cost of gas, tolls, and parking.
Really, with the success of the bus service, it will give Valparaiso more ammuntion for a South Shore Spur.
Now, is really a gret time to buy … (4 comments)

Dem said this and Dem said that - 10/01/08 11:14 AM
Looks like McCain was right the whole time.  I wonder why no one is running this up the flog pole.  Oh, you know the one that Barry Obama does not salute.

I am sick and tired of being forced left wing propaganda on us from BSNBC and CNN.  Show this, spread this around.  The Conservatives were right, we were not picking on the little guy who could not afford a house.  We were just trying to protect America.
Now, lets figure out what we need to do and get it done.
