Mortgage Mess in simple easy to understand terms - 02/24/10 09:26 AM
I was just emailed this and it really breaks down the mortgage mess in simple and easy to understand real-life situation. Well, it will be for many of you...the rest you need to put the drink down to get it. Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit . She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar. To solve this problem, she comes up with new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later. She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a (2 comments)
Via Larry Bettag - Cherry Creek Mortgage: It's official: The New Good Faith Estimate is causing real pain to The Consumer and; The Real Estate Industry I've now spent two months working on this new good faith estimate. It's been implemented since January 1rst of 2010. So, without further adieu.....what is the problem with the new Good Faith Estimate? THE CONSUMER First, let's call it like it is. The government wanted to create a "new and improved" Good Faith Estimate that is "user friendly, easy to read, and would promote a fairness in comparison shopping for the consumer." The consumer would be able to (4 comments)
Mortgage News you can use - 02/22/10 02:38 PM
Dave here, been a while since I have done one of these. Thought it was time to visit the Mortgage Bunker and do a quick video.
There is lots going on this week, with Big Ben testifying before Congress. I am sure we can't call them Progress. A lot of economic news is hitting the fan this week and that will cause the Mortgage baced bonds to rise and fall like old wino after an all night bender. New home sales, existig homes sales on Wednesday and Friday, Consumer Confindence, after all it has been shot to hell, and Jobless (0 comments)
Credit Repair - People to know in NW Indiana - 02/21/10 04:58 PM
As a mortgage banker, I am often asked who I would suggest for credit repair. This really is not an easy quesiton to answer as I used to believe that credit repair was never a good idea. Well, my eyes have been opened to a local office that is using the practice to help many people fix their credit and help them buy a new home. Their service also helps those that find themselves buried in a heap of credit debt and need help eliminating that credit card debt. Whatelse, I like the the triple threat warranty that if (0 comments)
NW Indiana people you should know...Jeff Eriks - 02/10/10 01:04 PM
This weeks people you should know in NW Indiana is Jeff Eriks from Cambridge Construction & Development in Griffith, IN, but they do business all over the United States. I, only, recently met Jeff via Facebook and LinkedIn as he delved deeper into the world of Social Media. I learned that he holds a month “lunch and learn” for area professionals to come and discuss what is working for them and how we can help each other. As I did more research on his businesses and his blogs, I thought it was time to share with the rest of (4 comments)
People you should know… Steve Dalton - @datonsbriefs I first met Steve a couple of years ago through ActiveRain. I was astonished at the time that he was so brazen with his political views. I mean, I was taught that in business you don’t talk politics or religion, but Steve taught me that you can talk about politics and still get business. He has taught me a few things about Social Media and blogging as well. Well, I like to think it is a two-way street, but I am sure it is not. He has embraced blogging as one of his ways to teach (2 comments)

What you did not know I am the Mayor of several Indiana Towns and Cities, not to mention a few eateries and even my church. Who wants to be the pastor when you can be the Mayor of your church. Do you think they will give me a funny hat like the Pope? No, I didn’t think so either. So, what the heck am I talking about FourSquare. You know (9 comments)
Evelyn Johnston, Elkhart Indiana's Short Sale Expert - 02/01/10 03:41 PM
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting one of Elkhart, Indiana’s premiere Realtors over a year ago at a friends wedding. She told me then that she was shooting my then number 1 spot on ActiveRain. I laughed it off at the time. Well, I am not laughing anymore. As I fell from #1 to #2 to #4. While most agents and mortgage guys are here are blogging about the most asinine things in the all mighty search for more points. Evelyn does not do not. She gives pertinent information about not only Elkhart, but real estate matters as well, such (3 comments)
Mad Mortgage Machine Podcast - 02/01/10 12:13 PM
I had some issues over the last two weeks. I was finally able to get the latest episode of The Mad Mortgage Machine out. I had to redo it 2 times, but here it is in all of its glory.
