Well, we have been hit by the Super 8 MeMe, thanks to Jessica Horton. 8 questions, 8 answers. 8 things I feel that you should know about me...Here goes.. By the way, this is David, not Kristin.

1. Who is your favorite musical artist? (post a YouTube Video)
This one is very easy for me...Hootie and The Blowfish! I, along with one of my best buddies from Charleston, always attend their shows when they are close by. If you have never seen them play live, you should try to go to one of their shows while they are still touring. They sound really good live, and they put on a great show.

2. Who is your favorite artist?
Jim Booth. Jim Booth is known for his local Charleston paintings. Very, very talented artist that captures the spirit of Charleston perfectly.

3. Who is your favorite blogger?
This is tough. If you name only one, then you make other folks think you don't like them. If you name more than one, you're not obeying the rule! With that being said, I really like Mary McKnight at RSS Pieces. She is always giving great advice and she is always straight and to the point. You usually knows where she stands on things! I have learned a great deal from her blogs.

With that being said, there are lots of great folks here on ActiveRain that I read regularly that I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for.

4. If you could meet anyone (dead or alive) who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?
A lot of the bloggers here on ActiveRain. Too many to name and mention.

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Professional athlete. I wanted to be either a basketball player or football player.

6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know?
The Ore-Ida french fry company got it's name by combining the first three letters of Oregon with the first three letters of Idaho. The company was founded in Oregon, right by the Idaho line, hence the name!

7. If you could live in any point of history, what would it be and why?
I wouldn't change a thing. Not unless my parents, friends, wife, and daughter could go back with me.

8. What is the most interesting job you have ever held?
I worked in a tobacco warehouse for one summer. I don't smoke, not have I ever smoked, but I loved the job. There is nothing like the smell of dried tobacco. It was also great watching the farmers that had so much pride in the crops they produced.

ActiveRain Works Again!-- Another AR Success Story!

     Well guess what? It's that time again folks. Yes, it's time for another ActiveRain success story.  We had a client that we were working with here in Myrtle Beach for a few months. This family was relocating here from Missouri, but their move was being held up because their home in Missouri had not sold. The house was priced well and was in great shape, but they had less than 5 showings in 12 months.
     Well, their listing agreement was about to expire and they did not want to relist their home with the same agent. They asked us if we knew any agents in their area. At that time, we searched high and low for an agent all over the internet. Just kidding! The first place we looked was of course ActiveRain. Here is where we found Kay Van Kampen with RE/MAX Solutions. Kay was prompt, professional and very precise about how she worked with our clients. Our clients were extremely happy with her and we received many phone calls with them singing her praises. Now I know what you're thinking...that's fine and dandy, but did Kay Van Kampen get their home sold? Glad you asked!
     Our clients home was listed with Kay and 4 days later they had an accepted contract. In this market 4 days is absolutely incredible! The home had gone virtually unseen for 12 months and Kay got them a contract in 4 days!! The transaction closed this week! Thank you Kay for your innovative marketing and perfectly honed techniques. We are grateful, our mutual client is grateful, and they will now be able to close on the home of their dreams in Myrtle Beach, SC. There is no doubt who we will refer future clients to in the Springfield, Missouri area.
