myrtle beach news: Prices Adapting To A Changing Market - 09/19/07 01:54 PM
I recently read a blog about price reductions.  The post was basically saying that ALL price reductions are properties that were overpriced in the beginning.  To a certain extent, I agree.
However, in the Myrtle Beach real estate market, things are a little different.  Yeah, we do definitely have quite a few overpriced properties.  But we also have a lot of investors here that are always looking to move forward to the next opportunities.
We have an investor who recently made some huge price reductions to two of his properties that we have listed.  And these properties … (4 comments)

myrtle beach news: Crawl First, Then Walk- Thank You ActiveRain - 09/13/07 05:43 PM

A few months into our AR Experience, we are still crawling right along.  It feels like we are about to advance to the walking stage!  Why, you ask?  We just got our first contact from ActiveRain.  And it couldn't be better timing.  The timing is perfect because TLW posted Why Do We Bite The Hand That Feeds Us? ... ROAR! yesterday.     We had a couple contact us after finding one of our market reports over on Localism.  [We (as a lot of you know already) primarily post on Localism for the consumers.  My reason for posting primarily on Localism posts … (13 comments)

myrtle beach news: Myrtle Beach Bike Week- Fall Rally - 09/11/07 03:54 PM

Well, the Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally is almost here.  Only a few weeks away.  The rally will take place this year October 3-October 7.  One popular hangout will not be as big of a part of the festivities this year as usual...H.B. Spokes Saloon.  This popular biker bar was destroyed by fire early Monday morning.       H.B. Spokes was located on Highway 9 in Longs, right outside of North Myrtle Beach.  The cause of the fire has not been determined yet, as investigators are still working on the case.  The owners are still hoping to have some vendors set … (0 comments)

myrtle beach news: Take A Walk On The Beach...For Charity! - 07/30/07 07:43 PM
Hard Rock Park and Myrtle Beach.  Those two are becoming more and more synonymous with each other.  Myrtle Beach is very lucky to be the place of choice for the first ever Hard Rock Park.  Myrtle Beach is also lucky to part of the first ever Sara's Beach Walk.  The event is a 3 day, 45 mile walk on the beach that will take place September 20-22.  After the walk is completed, there will be a concert along with other entertainment at the Hard Rock Backstage Tour.  This should be a good time for all involved while helping out a good cause.  … (2 comments)

myrtle beach news: Myrtle Beach Growth and Development Potential - 07/29/07 12:04 PM
By now, you are probably well aware of the fact that Myrtle Beach is home of the world's first ever Hard Rock Park.  What you may not have known is that Africa Israel is the majority shareholder in the park.  This company is a big time investor that only invests in projects that they feel really strong about.  They also only invest in areas that they see as having a lot of growth and developmental potential.  This is great news for us in Myrtle Beach, as well as the entire state of SC.  As one of the few "locals" still remaining in Myrtle Beach, … (2 comments)

myrtle beach news: Hard Rock Theme Park in Myrtle Beach, SC - 07/24/07 09:42 PM
As most of you are probably already aware, the world's first Hard Rock Park is now under construction here in Myrtle Beach, SC. Well, we (David and Kristin) are in the process of chartering a new Lions Club here in the Carolina Forest section of Myrtle Beach. We were fortunate enough tonight to have Steven Goodwin (the CEO of Hard Rock Park) and Nancy Gray (public relations manager) visit our club to share some information with us.  They are very excited about the project and are very appreciative of the support they have received from the community. The park is still on schedule … (0 comments)
