Today is May 3, 2007.  I am writing to relieve some of the fustration I have been feeling.  This year has been a strange one.  I have been a Realtor for 28 years and worked in Memphis, Tn and the surrounding area for all that time.  My business in based on referrals and I have always been successful.  This year business seems to be slower but it is the prospects and clients that seemed to have changed.  People are so internet aware.  Information is everywhere for them to look at.  I think most people want to be able to decifier this information and use it for their best interest but I not sure that is what is happening.  The internet is first and foremost  an advertising format.  I think is it a great source for people to look at.  I don't think it should be the only source for people to look at.  Knowledgeable Realtors still provide the best route for individuals to research, view and buy real estate.  Working with a Realtor you can trust to represent you and your best interest is still the way to go.  I don't think we will be replaced but I do think it is making an impact.  I love what I do and getting that across to my clients and customers is the challenge.  It's been a tough year so far but I am looking forward to the summer months, warm weather and hot buyers and sellers.
