More often than not, people are turning to the Internet to check for honest reviews. As a matter of fact a whole new industry has sprung up from this. Many of you may be familiar with Yelp.com. last year Google tried to purchase yelp.com for half billion dollars. Read more: Yelp stayed firm and said they were not for sale at any price. Yelp knows what they are on to. Now back to the point I was trying to make in the title.

Realtors. If you are going to refer a home inspector, termite inspector, loan officer or anyone for that matter, be sure to check that individuals online reviews first. Don't jeopardize your credibility.

Here are some suggestions.

  1. Do a Google search using " business name+reviews" then save that search in your bookmarks. This way you can check it weekly or monthly.
  2. Do a Yelp search. Go to Yelp.com and search for the business . Knowing the city that the business operates in is important. Read the reviews and look for filter reviews as well.
  3. Yahoo and Bing also have business reviews left by previous customers. Once you have completed your search for each business of interest. Be sure to bookmark that search in order for you to check up on companies that you're referring on a regular basis
