USDA Loans are mortgages for Homes that are found in Rural areas.  If you are thinking of buying a home in a rural area you can not beat this loan option.  Here are the highlights for:
You will not need a down payment.  That's right 0%!!!  FHA loans require a down payment of 3.5% and a conventional can require 5% or more.  And the seller can pay all or some of your closing costs.  This would allow you to get in the home with the least amount of money possible. FHA loans with no credit score In Texas. Min 20% down payment - 03/14/11 05:31 PM
We have just announced that we now allow FHA loans with no credit score.  This means clients with no credit score(or one score) are allow to get a FHA mortgage with a 20% down payment.  They could also refinance their home with a max loan of 80% of their home's value.  Here are the requirements:

USDA Loans in Texas are Changing 10/1/11, Monthly Mortgage Insurance will increase - 03/10/11 01:58 PM
It has just been announced that USDA loans monthly Mortgage Insurance will be increasing on 10/1/11.  These changes apply to any case number ordered on 10/1/11 and after.  Currently USDA loans have no monthly mortgage insurance, but after 10/1/11 that will be increasing to .30.  On a $100,000 loan that will equal to a $25 increase in the borrowers payment.
On a positive note the upfront Mortgage Insurance Premium will decrease from 3.5% to 2%.  This move in by itself would decrease the payment by $8 a month.

Acumen Roofing puts on a Roof for a Needy Family. Amazing Story - 03/02/11 03:10 PM
Acumen Contracting Group recently put on a free roof for a family who badly needed it.  The Melton Family in Crosby, Texas.  It had been badly damaged during Hurricane Ike.  They knew they needed to patch the roof, but how.  They started by posting an ad on Craig's List that they needed shingles and roof supplies.  Milt Court District Sales Manager of Acumen Contracting Group saw the ad and jumped into action.  He could have easily provide some extra shingles, but he went one step further.  He had his suppliers donate the supplies and Acumen supplied the man power.  I personally … (2 comments)
