bill: New Territory Residents Your Water Bill will Increase in January (2012) - 09/07/11 12:46 PM
For those of us that live in New Territory(Sugar Land) your water bill will be increasing in January. This increase is due to the City of Sugar Land’s groundwater reduction fee which will be nearly doubling on January 1st. This fee was implemented by the city to construct a surface water plant. Now because of the annexation agreement with the City of Sugar Land, the residents of New Territory will be paying $1.58 per 1,000 gallons on Jan 1st. This is up from just $.84 per 1,000 gallons.
