Forbes.com recently did an article on the most stressed cities in the nation.  There research was based on high unemployment, long commute times, long work hours, limited access to health care, poor physical health and a lack of exercise for major cities.  Las Vegas came in first.  They are obviously #1 due to the hours of operation of casinos(24hrs) and the house crisis there.  Los Angeles came in at #2.  Ironically Houston's unemployment rate is below the national average.  But per the article this leads to Houstonians being workaholics.  On average a Houston resident works 41.2 hours a week.  This is … (2 comments)

Forbes.com recently named Houston, Texas as the #1 city for young professionals to live and work.  This report took into account unemployment, average income for college educated persons and the amount of large employers in the area.  Houston has 14 of the largest employers in the county.  Forbes also pointed that these factors helped Houston still prosper during a recession that has hit other cities very hard.  Not to be left out Dallas was ranked 6th and Austin made the list at #10.  This is great information for Texans and Future Texans.  If you are thinking of relocating to Texas please … (3 comments)
