I recently had a major plumbing issue at my house. I won't bore you with the specifics, except it wasn’t working. So I called a local plumbing company to give me a quote. They sent me an estimate for $3200 and when I called them they lied about some of the specifics of the job that was needed. So to verify if this cost was reasonable I called Sugar Land Plumbing(also known as S&B Plumbing). They came out and did the same job for $1800. sugar land: The $100 Down Payment Program for HUD Foreclosures has changed, please read - 04/05/12 12:16 PM
HUD has recently changed their rules when purchasing one of their foreclosures. Now the loan amount can not be higher than HUD’s appraisal value. What does this mean:
1. On the $100 down payment program the home must be bought for the list price or more, the list price is often the appraisal value. But on FHA loans the Upfront Mortgage Insurance fee of 1.75% is roll into the loan, increasing the loan amount by 1.75%. sugar land: FHA Mortgage Insurance is Increasing on April 9th. - 03/11/12 01:36 PM
HUD(FHA) just announced that the monthly mortgage insurance is increasing on all case numbers ordered on and after April 9th. This increase will be .10 on all FHA mortgages that have monthly mortgage insurance. A FHA case number is ordered when you start a new FHA loan. This change is for purchase loans and regular refinances(not streamlines). HUD is also increasing the upfront mortgage insurance amount from 1% to 1.75%. To give this change some perspective, the increase in up front mortgage Insurance will increase the payment on a $200k loan by $5 a month.
