If you are a veteran you can actually have 2 VA loans.  You may want two VA loans if you are moving and not selling your current home.  Or possibly would like to buy a new home without selling their current home.  The calculation to find out if you can have two VA loans can be a little confusing.  So, Here are the steps to follow when figuring out if you can have 2 VA loans:

1.      Order your Certificate of Eligibility- Your Mortgage Lender can do this for you.  It requires you to provide your DD-214 form.  If you do not … (16 comments)

texas: When Thinking about Refinancing Your Mortgage, make sure you know the Cost vs Savings! - 09/29/11 03:09 AM

When going from a 30yr mortgage to a new 30yr mortgage(15yr to 15yr, etc) you want to divide the cost of the new  loan by your monthly savings.  So let’s say on your $200k loan you have … (4 comments)

texas: New Territory Residents Your Water Bill will Increase in January (2012) - 09/07/11 05:46 AM

For those of us that live in New Territory(Sugar Land) your water bill will be increasing in January.  This increase is due to the City of Sugar Land’s groundwater reduction fee which will be nearly doubling on January 1st.  This fee was implemented by the city  to construct a surface water plant.  Now because of the annexation agreement with the City of Sugar Land, the residents of New Territory will be paying $1.58 per 1,000 gallons on Jan 1st.  This is up from just $.84 per 1,000 gallons.  Based on the average home using 5,000 gallons a month, this will … (1 comments)
