As with most new technology some of it will confuse the living s#*@ out of you until you really figure out it's purpose.  Like Facebook and Twitter it takes time to develop some sort of strategy for making these new technologies do what we want them to do. 
Linking all of your accounts to post to twitter isn't really how it's meant to be used but many of us are still doing it.  I just recently removed most of my "autosend" stuff.  If you're autosending consider a new strategy and try to interact.
