It's often said that all politics are local, and the saying holds true to an extent. Our nation is vast, and vastly different. Manhattan is a financial services mecca, so real estate still sells at a premium there. Santa Cruz real estate is affected by Silicon Valley’s success, which is well chronicled. We have excellent jobs here, and median income levels are higher than the national average, so people can afford to pay more for their homes. We are seeing signs of stabilization and perhaps the beginning of appreciation in our market. Also (obviously), Monterey Bay is a thriving marine sanctuary … (1 comments)
