Things to do in Clayton,NC Today Saturday September 24TH 2011There are lots of fun things going on in the Clayton Area today, first of the Clayton Farm and Community Marketis held on the Clayton Town Square Saturdays from 9am- 2 pm until October 29th 2011. The market is a great place to meet local farmers, bakers etc. there are all kinds of naturally raised, organic produce etc.

What is a short sale ? And where in Raleigh can I get help?A short sale is when you sell your home and you owe more than the house is worth. Sounds simple right? Nothing could be further from the truth, you might have heard of nightmarish stories of people waiting months to get an answer on an offer, (True). The lender not returning calls for days and weeks (True). The buyer walking away in frustration (True). The Clayton harvest Festival is under way today and will run until tomorrow Sunday from 11-4. The Harvest Festival which gets bigger every year has a carnival (scary!) a classic car show, a beer garden, petting zoo, all kinds of music throughout the days.

World War II Veterans from around the Triangle were treated to a flight to Washington DC this week in what was the fourth of it’s kind this year. The non-profit group Triangle Flight of Honor organises and raises the money for the trip. The 102 Veterans were flow to the Capital and toured the World War II Memorial, The Air Force and Marine Corps Monuments and also Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.The boys and I went out to welcome them home. What I want to accomplish is to spark some interest, and I think the key is to grab the attention of someone for the brief time they will allow you to keep them. I do it myself, I have Twitter and Facebook on my phone and I love to get snippets of news, I can then control what I want to see, read, listen. I used to do four minute videos....four minutes!! Here's the thing with toilets that don’t get used, they get stuff growing in them, pretty harmless stuff not at all what you think! Open House Etiquette......Some Pointers!So here is the deal with Open Houses, Model Homes etc. We have four houses in my neighborhood all new construction, four different builders, four completely different floor plans.Saturday and Sunday we open them up for people to take a look at, I stay in the sales office. The first thing I do when I get here is go around to all the houses and turn on all the lights, adjust the thermostats, turn on all the sound systems, TV’s etc.I unlock all the back and side doors and screen doors, (I have been locked out of houses (1 comments)

Total Wine have moved from their old location and moved to a brand new much larger store across the road in the old Harris Teeter store. The new Total Wine store in North Hills is a fantastic mecca to all beer and wine fans. They have something for everyone and at the best prices around. The new store has a classroom for wine tastings, sign up they are great fun! A walk in humidor for a large selection of cigars and lots of parking.
