Johnston County Schools Are Opening.......Monday August 27th is opening day for Johnston County Schools in North Carolina. I took Conor to orientation at Archer Lodge Middle where he is going into seventh grade. It was amazing to see the crowds of people, cars everywhere parked on the grass, on the road and this was right at the start of the orientation. Our wonderful son Conor had his last day at River Dell Elementary last week and there was a big old party for all the fifth grade students. It was amazing to see how much all these kids have grown since he started in River Dell going to kindergarten six years ago. Clayton, NC was hopping on Saturday Morning as the Clayton Visual Arts Fair(e) got under way at Horne Square. The event was 10am-4pm and it featured a multitude of artists in all aspects of creativity. The booths had pottery, jewelry, paintings, there were artists from Clayton and some came from Ashville.
