Johnston County North Carolina suffered in 2009 as did everywhere else, however because there was not a mad spike in home prices the numbers when looked at other parts of the country can be signs for encouragement. I know this is little consolation to the builders who filed for bankruptcy or the people facing foreclosure.
Johnston County due to it's location so close to Raleigh, Research Triangle Park, The Beach and the availability of affordable housing and land makes it attractive to many.

Ellington Estates Subdivision in Clayton, NC is one of the most popular subdivisions in Clayton throughout the years. The subdivision was started in 1992 and built through 1999. The subdivision is centrally located in Clayton off Hwy 42W and is situated close to the 4042 business area and the highway exchanges there. It is also minutes from the new Hwy 70 bypass.
