Johnston County Parade of Homes 2012As usual the traffic at the Johnston County Parade of Homes has been wonderful, this year has seen great crowds of people checking out the new homes on display. The Johnston County Real Estate market is certainly heating up compared to a year ago.There seems to buyers coming from all over the United States to live in North Carolina and Johnston County. I recently met folks from California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia, Ohio, every day it seems I come across someone relocating to North Carolina.

Yard sale signs are going up. Being in the sign and balloon business, I know a thing or two about getting people to read your sign,

If it's written in pen and on a piece of yellow pad paper wrapped in Saran-Wrap, there is a good chance nobody is going to see it or bother to read it. Yep, by the time I had the video done and edited, the house was already under contract and sold. This was the only house finished in Portofino in Clayton at the time. We went under contract on Christmas Eve!
It was a contingent contract, and shortly before we went under contract we had a local agent preview it for her out of state clients. So if you are being relocated to North Carolina to Wendell, or to Zebulon or being transferred to Wilson. You need to look into Clayton and all that Johnston County has to offer. For example, traditional calender schools, lower home prices, much more for your money.
Business Week Magazine named 27527 in the top ten zip codes of the country with the best schools and affordable housing.
Land is more affordable...so lot sizes are bigger, homes are bigger and you  get more upgrades here than New Homes in Cary, North Raleigh, etc.
