It's not every town that can provide the residents and that of the surrounding area with a facility like the new Clayton Community Center. My hat is off to the Mayor and the Town Councilors and the many town employees who put this together.

Homes in this neighborhood range in price from the high $200,00 to the high $800,000. The subdivision is surrounded by woods and is bordered by the Neuse river, so some of the homes have water access. The ones I have seen have a long stretch of land with trees opening up to the river.

Ellington Estates Subdivision in Clayton, NC is one of the most popular subdivisions in Clayton throughout the years. The subdivision was started in 1992 and built through 1999. The subdivision is centrally located in Clayton off Hwy 42W and is situated close to the 4042 business area and the highway exchanges there. It is also minutes from the new Hwy 70 bypass. This Sunday October 18Th there will be an opportunity to walk some of the Mountains to Sea Trail and raise money, get some art work in the process.

The event which runs from 2-5pm is being organized by,Friends of Mountains-To-sea Trail, Johnston County Arts Council, Town of Clayton, Portofino. The money raised will benefit the MST who bring together volunteers and communities to help build the footpath across North Carolina.

Mountains To Sea Trail in Clayton NC.
The Mountains to Sea Trail is a 1,000 mile route that links Clingman's Dome in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park to Jockey's Ridge Park On the Outer Banks,(love the names). Currently there are 450 miles of trails open.
