Bald Eagle Spotted in Clayton at Portofino.

These incredible pictures taken this morning May 3rd at the fishing pond at Portofino in Clayton. The pictures were taken by Norwood and Sandra Thompson the developer of Portofino and his wife, who live in the Red Roof Inn just in front of the pond.
There was a female Bald Eagle here first and then she left and this guy swooped in. The fishing pond at Portofino is full of fish and every kid in the neighborhood has caught something. looks like they might have some competition in the future. Something tells me this … (4 comments)

I am always pleasantly surprised when I get a comment from a prospective homebuyer that I never would have thought of.
What do you think was this lady's favorite part of the house?

It has cathedral ceilings in a living room with a wall of windows opening out to the three season screened and tiled porch. It could … (6 comments)

Building a Custom Home in Portofino in Clayton...A Diary,Day 2 and 3
Alright so the lot has been excavated and now it is time to frame the footers, very important. Every thing is important here but this is a big heavy house so the footings need to be right.

This home is also going to have a large basement, once the re-bar is in and the frames are set, the following day they brought in the cement trucks and the pump truck.

The cement is dumped into a big tank at the back of the pump truck and then … (2 comments)

Trees, parks and lakes are in great supply in the Triangle and so the ability to Trail Ride is plentiful. But what about living in a community where your horse lives as well and there are … (0 comments)

This is a stunning house ( yeah I said stunning) that I have been watching come up from just as they broke ground and here it is. It is a beautiful four bedroom 2600 square foot home with another 1100 square feet of partially finished space that could be a teen room, a guest room, a home theater, a pool room, a never come down room!
