SAS announced it would hire 100 new employees in Cary for it's SAS Analytic Lab for State and Local Government. The lab has been designed to provide data analysis for state and local government groups that must deal with budget shortfalls in 2011 and beyond.

Pretty slim as a matter of fact. The records for Raleigh show practically not a single significant snowfall on Christmas in the Triangle.Now you can get technical about this one as it did not start snowing until late on Christmas Day and we were all in bed.

They cite the affordable homes, the mild four season climate, the access to some of the best health care facilities in the country.

The house in question is the personal home of Norwood and Sandra Thompson, the developers of Portofino. It is an amazing old/new house that was originally further back in the woods of Portofino and then moved to it's current location.

Downtown Raleigh to get an Amphitheater, the city council has approved funding for an outdoor amphitheater,located across from the new convention center.
 
 
 
The site would be under the beautiful shimmering wall the convention center is becoming known for.
 
 
The city might partner with Live Nation a concert promoter who could bring 20 acts a year to Raleigh. It could seat up to 5,000 people and could be ready as early as next May.

Well, Raleigh NC has them both in a very unique downtown development called Blount Street Commons. It is a collaboration of the city of Raleigh and developers LNR Blount St.LLC. More Jobs Coming To The Triangle Of North Carolina, with the announcement on Friday By Cree that it would be adding 575 new jobs to its operations in Durham.
