I'm so looking forward to the next four weeks of August here in Connecticut. Half the town seems to be away somewhere??? But where better than your own backyard, for me that's Fairfield County, Ct. We have great restaurants, outdoor concerts, wonderful beaches, theaters, local farmer's markets....... Our garden is full of flowers, tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, peppers.... it like having a farmer's market in your own back yard. The days are hot, the evenings are cool, hanging out on the front porch drinking lemonade. Why go anywhere else..... Enjoy your August where ever you are and (0 comments)
MORTGAGE RATES ~ 20 Year vs. 30 Year. Time to Refinance??? A case study. Refinancing with a 20 year mortgage does make sense. When refinancing you want to take a look at monthly payments, percentage rates, term of loan and then at total cost of loan and total interest payments of loan. If you take a look at the example down below you can see that with lowing your interest rate by 1% and the length of time (term of your loan) of the loan, you can save thousands of dollars. Via Lesley Burton-Dallas (Turtle Clan Environment Testing, Inc.): What is Radon and should you be concerned? Radon is a gas that exists beneath the substrate in rock and escapes up into the air through tiny cracks and fissures. Even though there has been much published about the fact that Radon is also found in granite counter tops ,
...when we tested the radon in clients kitchens, we haven't shared the hysteria. EPA states that you should test your home for radon yearly and says that any household with 4 picoCuries or more should have radon (0 comments)
Custom Cherry Mantel, Darien, Ct. 06820 Even with the slow down in new home construction, you will see many small home renovation projects taking place around Fairfield County, Connecticut. I came across this wonderful designed custom made solid cherry mantel in Darien, Connecticut. It has a Waterlox Tung Oil Finish, 8 coats, and ties in with a cherry wall unit in the family room. It's a pleasure to be a Realtor in Connecticut finding quality work and materials in the area homes and meet the local craftsmen.
