McGraw Hill Construction (MHC), a part of McGraw Hill Financial, just released findings from a new Green Home Builders and Remodelers Study at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.
Green homes comprised 23 percent of the overall residential construction market in 2013 which is equal to $36 Billion market opportunity.  MHC estimates that the green market share will grow to between 26 percent and 33 percent of the market by 2016 which is double of today’s market from … (8 comments)

Connecticut’s 2012 Zero Energy Challenge is about designing and building a single or multi-family super efficiency, near energy zero use house.  This is the third year of the challenge with the overall winner getting $10,000.
Other category of winners are:
Lowest overall HERS Index: $5,000 Lowest HERS Index without renewable technologies: $5,000 Most affordable project (cost/sq. ft.): $5,000 Lowest projected annual net operating cost: $5,000
