david saks: Sam Miller of Ohio - 10/23/13 01:43 PM
It's a place where this great life, amidst the homes that make it so, is overseen by a worthy steward who calls himself
Sam Miller.

Sam is the top selling agent in Knox County / Mount Vernon, Ohio, and he has been for the past 20 years.

That fact alone speaks volumes about his integrity, his committment, his professionalism and his loyalty.

Sam is a Real Estate Internet Professional (e-PRO) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and a Graduate of REALTOR Institute.

Sam purchased his first home when he was 18 … (2 comments)

david saks: Gabe Sanders - 10/23/13 01:26 PM
The great 20th century philosopher and mathematician
Bertrand Russell once said, “There are two motives for reading a book; one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it.”

In a way, the same thing can be said of the great Gabe Sanders.

I enjoy reading the things Gabe has to say, and I can boast that such a fine man is a part of the ActiveRain family of members.

I've always felt like I've had a bit of a connection to Gabe.

Gabe was a military pilot.

david saks: What Has It Done & What Will the Government Shutdown Do to Homeowners? - 10/10/13 05:09 AM

Everyone's asking:
"What will the government shutdown do to our nation's homeowners, and what damage has it already done ?"

Will everything continue to run smoothly ?
Not really !
Perhaps to a degree for Fannie and Freddie purchasers since the GSE's (government-sponsored enterprises) are owned by shareholders and privately run.
Homeowners are jittery, though.
There's a lot of uncertainty and fear.
Interest rates are rising, too.
Rapidly.

Now some bad news.
HUD (the US Department of Housing and Urban Development) runs the FHA (Federal Housing Administration).
Almost all of the HUD employess were laid … (8 comments)
