Canada's oldest Chinatown, established around 1858 is located right here in Victoria, BC on Fisgard Street. When you arrive at the historic gates of Chinatown, you will be met with the sights and sounds of this small but interesting bit of old Victoria.  
Take a look at the interesting shops in Fan Tan Alley, at the heart of Chinatown. It is the narrowest street in North America, being only 5 ft wide. The downtown walking tours include the area in their itinerary.

I was 4 years old when I first played ice hockey, in Bayfield, Ontario.
My Dad used to take me skating on the local pond and we kids played road hockey every spare minute of every day.
During my high school years I attended the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Regina.  Then I played University hockey at UMass-Lowell, Massachusetts, eventually becoming a pro hockey player in Europe for a total of 12 great years.

New Year's Resolutions ... not my "thing"! - 01/01/09 09:46 AM

But, in these financially unstable days I think it's very easy to get caught up and confused about the current financial crisis. I am therefore going to resolve to pay more attention and not assume that "all is fine with my financial status".
The main thing, in my opinion, is to be fully aware of where the money is invested and how it's working for me. I also feel that more attention needs to be paid to the everyday bills such as mobile phones, insurance, credit cards, and whether I am paying too much for the privilege of using those … (1 comments)
