Good Morning...Here is today's market update from the Think Big Work Small Guys. A mello reflective day from the boys today. They recap some of the changes that have happened this year - Independent Appraisers all but got wiped out - Good Faith estimates going from a simple page to confusing multi pages - Mortgage Brokers became the villains of the industry - and National regulations for Mortgage Broker Compensation. Agents who made it through 2010 have proven they can survive and adapt in a changing environment. Those that had success don't fear change, they adapt, implement new strategies and become effective.

Living By The Rules They Make - 12/29/10 11:45 AM
I received this email this morning so I thought I would pass it on to you. I am all for having our government representatives living by the same rules they make for us. How else do they understand the consequences of their actions?
This probably won't happen in 2010, or any time soon there after, but keep your fingers crossed and maybe in due time, if enough folks read and demand it we could see some parts of this reform idea in the DC ZooCongressional Reform Act of 20101. Today the boys talk about Moody's downgrading 1.7 billion in securities and their opinion on their rating system, The administration allocating 73 million to help find rental properties - the money will be given to national - regional-and local agencies but will not be seen for months, Fannie Mae & Freddi Mac being the third and fifth worst preforming stock (Blockbusters was fourth), and BOA coming in second in the Worst in Customer Service.

Good Morning...Here is today's market update from the Think Big Work Small Guys. Today is the thrid part in the three part discussion on The Fed Rule and the Loan officers compensation. The FED rule does not change the flow of compensations, it changes who gets it. All of this will be up to the interpretation of the bank working the transaction - some banks will have a more conservative approach while liberal banks will see it differently. They focus on how loan officers can be compensated through SRP. Bonuses: Long Term performance (body of loans), Volume bonus (# of loans), Geographic (rural areas), Itemized costs (phone-hours uses-networking, and Quality of loans (clean loans). Another Holiday Celebration put on in Cape Coral.
This Sunday the 19th is the Holiday Boat-a-Long on the Bimini Basin of Cape Coral. Boats are decked out in their Festive Holiday Attire and preform a parade of lights for everyones enjoyment. The parade starts at 7 pm with music and other events starting at 4 pm. A great way to put you in the Holiday mood. This is an event children and adults enjoy every year, don't miss it this year.

They discus Customer Service and challenge companies to give associates the toolsto give that service - not just a Statement Plaque at the entrance. They also suggest that NAR use their money better than suggesting agents keep a book "Real Estate for Dummies" in their office - doesn't inspire customers with confidence.

If you are looking to start celebrating the Holidays come to Cape Coral this Saturday 12-4-10. The Comcast Holiday Festival of Lights kicks off at 4 pm and runs to 10 pm. This is Southwest Florida's biggest Free Holiday family event.
"Kidz Street", put on by the Cape Christian Fellowship, is a FREE PLAY AREA for children 12 and under while The Kiwanis Club of Cape Coral supply Free Tiny Tot Train Rides. Not only does the LCEC Tree get lighted up but Santa arrives around 6 pm. There are also hundred of vendors to keep the adults happy.

Good Morning...Here is today's market update from the Think Big Work Small Guys. Today the boys talk about a new government give away program called E.H.L.P., Emergency Homeowners Loan Program. This program give customers, who are at least 3 months behind (and may be up to 2 yrs. behind) in their mortgage payments, $50 thousand if they want to stay in their homes. If customers want to Modify or do a Short Sale later they do not have to pay this money back. They discuss why this bill is not going to work.
