•1.       Authorization form
•2.       Hardship letter
•3.       Mortgage Statement
•4.       Financial Worksheet  
•5.       2 months paystubs
•6.       2 months bank statements
•7.       2 years tax returns
If you don't have these, you will need a letter explaining why to present to the bank.

Loan Modifications Not Happening in Las Vegas and Across the Country - 09/24/10 10:51 AM
As of August, approximately 680,000 homeowners who applied to get their mortgage payments lowered, or about 51 percent, have been disqualified, the Treasury Department said yesterday. That's up from about 48 percent in July.
About 2.5 million homes have been lost to foreclosure since the recession started in December 2007, according to RealtyTrac Inc. And another 3.3 million homes could be lost to foreclosure or distressed sale over the next four years, according to Moody's Analytics.

GMAC Mortgage Halts Home Foreclosures - 09/20/10 05:41 PM
Direct from Bloomberg.com Go read the whole news story & see if your state is on the LIST at GMAC Mortgage Halts Home Foreclosures
GMAC Mortgage unit told brokers and agents to halt foreclosures on homeowners in 23 states including Florida, Connecticut and New York.
Brokers were told to stop evictions, cash-for-key transactions and lockouts, regardless of occupant type, with immediate effect, according to the document, addressed to GMAC preferred agents.
