Equity Loss Insurance for Las Vegas Home Purchase -Market declines your covered? - 04/09/11 02:43 PM
Equity Lock says they provide homeowners peace of mind that in a declining real estate market their home equity will be protected by providing a Home price protection warranty on your home. 
They say this will cover short sales as well, but not a foreclosure, but you do have to be in the home for at least 2 years after purchasing a contract.
What a concept!  Too late for many Las Vegas homeowners.

Short Sales: HAFA Short Sales and Deed in Lieu: Las Vegas Short Sales - 04/09/11 12:58 PM
 Nearly 4,500 homeownersnationwide have completed a short sale or deed-in-lieu under HAFA according to a new treasury report  .  Go over to DSNews.com to read the article.
There are many problems with getting a HAFA short sale done and many start one and end up doing a regular short sale or a deed in lieu due to many of the lenders have their own set of guidelines in place and they don't really follow the HAFA guidelines.  (JMO)
